Accessibility Statement
Last updated: November 2025
American Made Stories is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, including individuals with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to discover the stories of American makers, workers, and products in a way that is inclusive and usable.
Our Accessibility Goals
We aim to follow best practices and guidelines, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as a target standard for accessibility.
Measures We Take
- Using a modern, accessibility-minded theme and layout structure.
- Maintaining a logical heading hierarchy and clear content structure.
- Providing alternative text for key images wherever feasible.
- Using sufficient color contrast for text and important interface elements.
- Designing pages that are navigable via keyboard where possible.
Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As we add new stories, products, and features, we strive to improve the usability of the site for all visitors. Some content or older sections may not yet fully meet our goals, but we are working to enhance them over time.
Known Limitations
While we work to make all areas accessible, there may be:
- Third-party content (such as embedded videos or widgets) that we do not fully control.
- Legacy posts or media that may not yet follow our current accessibility standards.
